You never know what you might find!

Greetings Thrifty Friends,

I live in a condominium complex, and as I left for work this
morning I walked past the dumpsters that serve my group of
buildings. I noticed that someone had leaned against one of
the dumpsters a perfectly good ironing board. I took a moment
to examine it and it was neither rusted nor broken. In fact,
it was in perfectly good working order. The only problem was
that the cover, which can be replaced for a few dollars, was
torn and soiled.

It reminded me of all the furniture and even clothes that
I have bought second-hand in my life. Some of it was for
financial reasons. In four years of college I can’t tell you
how much money I saved by buying blue jeans from Good Will
(which is a great organization).

But other times there are treasures to be had if you just
